We are Ali Rabarison and Cornelius Keogh.

I (Ali) was born and raised in Emmen in 1964. As a child I wanted to explore the wide world and spent many hours with my nose in adventure books. After a nursing training at the Juliana Children's Hospital in The Hague, I went to study law in Leiden. I subsequently worked for more than 25 years for national and local government, the last five years of which at the VNG as Director of Social Domain. I was married to Max Rabarison and had a blended family from a young age with 3 girls, who are now adults and have partners and kids, of whom I am very proud. After Max's death, five years ago, I no longer knew what to do. It took me time to be able to live with myself and think about how I wanted to move forward with hopefully my whole life ahead of me. During this voyage of discovery I came across Cornelius. And yes, connection and love at first sight.
